Pizza Sauce

15 Minute

What you'll need: Olive oil, fresh garlic, red wine, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, onion powder, salt, and fresh basil.

Heat the olive oil on medium heat in a large skillet. Saute the garlic for about 30 seconds, until slightly golden.

Add the red wine and heat for 1-2 minutes, until reduced by about half.

Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, onion powder, and salt. Stir until combined, then cover and cook on low for 5-6 mintes.

After about 5-6 minutes, uncover and stir in the fresh basil. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before making your pizza!

Done! This makes about 32 oz of sauce, or roughly enough sauce for 12 servings/2 large pizzas.

Use for pizza, pasta, mozzarella stick dipping, or this zucchini lasagna!
